Saw this on the board and liked it. The end is pretty funny and the dude with front brakes is good.

So, Interbike is coming up, and that is where we'll see all of this year's new designs and technology will be on display. But, for now, check out these two cool things:
Trek belt driven singlespeed:
The belt is supposed to offer a completely silent ride, require no maintenance, and last much longer than a chain. Chains last around 3000 miles, while the belt is projected to last somewhere in the neighborhood of 50,000 miles. It's 280grams lighter too, but who's counting. I don't think it has a place in MTB jumping and BMX, since the frame needs to have a slot cut in it near the dropout to get the belt in. It is a really cool idea though. Imagine this with an internally geared hub... :)
CLIX Wheel Release System:
Most of us ride bolt-on hubs to make our wheels stiffer, but if you ride XC or anything on the road, you can attest that this device is useful. It is a quick release skewer that doesn't require the user to unscrew anything. Just flip the lever and pull the washer to release. I like the idea, but I wonder how much these things cost, and if they weigh any more than a conventional quick release. It'll be interesting to see if they take on though. Wait and see
Click the link to see a video of what I'm talking about. It's short, so go look:

It isn't really a bike check. More just a photo that you can see better on Sunday.

I saw this on Diversity and figured maybe we could get the opinions of the anonymous kids. Also, since Adam is on Mega Tour now if you want anything posted E-Mail me your stuff just because he will have limited internet time.

Subrosa put up the first official pics of the Bash the other day.

Well, hell, dude. If I owned a BMX company I would have long ago put out a replica of the original GT Performer frame with updated geometry and, in fact, if GT made a limited edition run of retro Pro Performers right now I’d turn over my MasterCard to them. (And I mean a real replica, not the sticker set replica that Haro did with the “Anniversary Freestyler” a while back. Although, I’m a big enough chump to be tempted by that, too. Especially if they had Fiola sign them.)
So, I give Subrosa a “good job” for making my two sizes too small heart grow just a little bit with this. I’m not sure I’d buy it (the bash guard thing happened around the time when I became more interested in de-virginization than riding a bicycle) but I know a lot of guys are probably just as excited as Sher is over this and anything that builds excitement, especially among the traditionally ignored over 16 demographic, is awesome.

NIKE keeps sending in shoes and when they're the right size, I wear them. Most recently the NIKE Air Heist model arrived in size 9 and already when I put them on they felt comfy. I haven't left the house on them yet but I've got confidence that they'll do the job. The toe strap doesn't do much for me and makes it look a bit like a golf shoe or something but so far it hasn't gotten in the way. These kicks costs around $ 100,= USD a pair and according to the NIKE 6.0 website it is the most versatile and performance driven shoe for the next generation.

Fox always does an awesome job of hooking us up with free swag so when we asked them for some dress to wear to Jeff Z’s wedding, they were more than happy to send out some goods. We were really impressed with their dress clothes and decided to show our readers that it is possible to support cool brands even when you have to dress up. Check out some of their Fall ‘08 line and the next time your mom says you need new church clothes, show her this gallery…
