so late on saturday we went to burham mini ramp. after getting the motorways confused and driving about twice the distance we needed to we arrived just as most people were finishing which was good for 3 reasons. one - it was not very busy. two - it was fairly dry. three - the photos that becky took have an amazing sky.

however the ramp was still a bit wet and becasue its wood, the wet bits are very slippery, like ice. i like wooden ramps though. the set up was really nice - two minis of different sizes, back to back which a big spine on one side and a nice volcano type thing on the other. above is me trying to manual across the top and drop back in. i did it a few times and it felt so smooth. like a dream. below is me trying to air. it's hard not to go too high these days. is that right? i dunno but hanging up the back is harsh, although it never hurts. scroll down

before someone else points it out, i know this is all arty fag

so after pansying around for a bit trying to air and manual the gaps and fufanu attemps and stuff, we decided to drop in from the bigger side and clear the gap between the minis. we hung up a few times but it wasn't that harsh, and with a bit of pedalling and pumping we were clearing it. that was fun, but it shot you out the other side with so much speed you couldn't really carry on. next time: the spine.

you've got to have a couple of stupid photos and these are they. on the left is a blur that becky thinks looks like an ant, and on the right is tim showing of his great coordination skills.
the camera case got in the way. tim said it looked better that way. it looks like a very starry night, but that's just stuff on the lens of something who knows. it was getting pretty dark by this point. if you haven't noticed already i have purchased some lovely yellow gloves. no this is not to match my bike, its because they were 6.49 and the only ones that fitted properly. they look like washing up gloves, and they make my hands feel soft
