Right i got bored of the internet and since I can't ride I went looking for places to build trails. Maily for Gregory actually or for in the future if hempstead doesn't work out.

Location 1. Nowhere near the road, right next to the railway and not on a public footpath

Well concealed from the outside

.I think those pictures fit together in a panorama, but I'll let you work that out if you like. It's a game!

So basically this place looks great but it's a pain to get to and it looks like people come here. There are old fires.

Cut down trees

An a bench.

Ok, maybe no, onto...

Location 2.

This place is not near the road, but is right by a river. Not on a public footpath but much closer to the village for easier access to us (and pikies - not likely though as it is well hidden.) It's a paoin to get to though as you have to walk across a feild with no footpath.

Those are panoramic picture too if you like a puzzle. There's no way near as much space here. maybe only room for a one line and its more obvious when the farmer dries past probably. It's an ok spot but not long an thin either - so not really suited to trails so much.
Location 3:
For outsire this place looks perfect. Fairly near the road. On a public footpath, but one that no-one uses and well out of the way still.

However there is one major problem

No point so finally...

Location 4:
This place is the furthest away of all of them. It's on a footpath which is good as no-one uses it but it's a bit of a trek from the road and about 2 miles out of the village.
At first it seemed like the last one, full of ponds, but then I found this section running through the middle of if

This is a slightly raised section that is really long and would be excellent for trails - a bit windy with straight sections. I really like it, but I am not sure how wet it would get in the winter.

There is also this abandoned bit of field next to it, surrounded by brambles so it's never used, just looks like wasteland so I really like it. The only problem is this:

This is the land next to the wood. The line runs out behind where that boat it. It's a fishing club place i think. If they don't own the land they might be ok with it but its a risk.

Well Tim and Gregory, what do you think? I am not sure how far you are allowed to go Greg - leave a message on the book if you see this anyway.

Location 5:
The disused railway. This is an amazing place. near enough the road. No-one goes there. The land is owned by the railway and they don't ever go near it.

There's only one problem, and it's a big one. The dirt sucks badly.

It's like soot. Just dust really not earth and full of stones.

As these rabbits have shown there is ok earth underneath but you are talking about 2 foot down. And you have to get through all those stones first.

Location 6, further down the disused railway. More people go here but the land is still pretty save. The dirt is much worse here though.

an old platform

dirt quater?

an old berm

the farmer did this. not sure why.

Location 7, included for completeness! This is where the old jumps were. Worst place in the world for jumps.

Location 8.
Near river which is good but visible from a footpath which is bad. There isn't a lot of space either

Location 9. I think this is best. An old footpath not used any more. There is a lot of waste and scrub ground. Not great dirt but as good as you get round here. Not many woods but the river is near and there are no roads for a bit in any direction. My favourite I think but you'll have to cut a path.
