I got back from my holiday yesterday. I took some pictures which I will update with one day maybe. I took my bike with me which turned out to be a good move as it was dry and I had fun at the skatepark. I have been having so much riding recently, even skateparks, just doing little tricks is so much fun. Tyre taps are my new favourite trick. Tyre Taps and Table Tops all the way. I did about 100 tyre taps in a row because they are so fun.

The skatepark wasn't up to much but the views were pretty good. There were some scally girls there shouting stuff and getting in the way but once they left it was better. I met this safe skater. His science teacher is a famous bmx person apparently - I am not very good at the bmx celebs - his science teacher was called Job Cloak or something. He organises BMX events like at V Festival.

Considering it was a bank holiday and I had been away for the week, the damage at the trails was quite minimal. Still annoying. Makes me feel less bad about putting in some decent security though.

Today two groups of six kids turned up at the trails. You dig for 6 months and don't see a soul and then the day that you actually try to ride some jumps suddenly there are lots of visitors. One group rode up really excited until they saw me. Then they formed a huddle about 20 yards away.  I didn't catch much of what they said except "wasted journey". Then they just rode off. It amazes me that they have cycled so far (I know it was quite far because of the direction they came from) but won't even speak to me. I dread to think what would have happened if I wasn't there.

There were 6 of them so if they had dug rather than coming to pester me they would have got quite a lot done. Plus they wouldn't have been able to ride the jumps anyway because they were just out of nappies and on full suspension mountain bikes. It makes me mad.
