23rd December
Christmas meal today. How to get there. Digging in the day. Then pub.
22nd December
Shortest day today. Just. If you don't believe me look here.
Its around this time of year that it starts getting depressing to see what is (or isn't) happening at the trails. I am not meaning to be critical of anyone in particular, so please dont take this personally, but it's amazing how many more people are at the trails in the summer than in the winter. It's also amazing how much digging my hero peter has done in the last few months.
21st December
Saturday the local paper are coming to the trails to take some pictures. Would be good to have some people there to support the jumps but its early I am afraid. 9am. If you can make it that would be good. They are running a story about the trails and how the council are trying to shut them down. Thank you.
20th December
Just spoke to the council about the jumps. They say that the environment agency say that the raising of the land effects the flood plain and it needs to be leveled. I can't see what difference it makes where the earth is - there's no extra dirt there, but they wouldn't give me the number of the environment agency to speak to, and say that permission will not be granted on the land becasue of this objection. I can't see what I can do except destroy the last 3 years work. I feel pretty bad.
17th December
Wait for this picture to load.

How to use your watch as a compass
Here is a recipe that Mark wrote.
Sittingbourne on Wednesday?
Pete has been working on a new site.

Some pictures for Gregory
One | Two | Three
Pete, as I said, right foot forward, xup to the left.
Bleugh. Did some digging at the weekend. The trails should be pretty good this year I think.
A few years ago there was some talk of renting a barn and putting some ramps in it, but nothing came of it. Does anyone still think this would be a good idea? I have looked on Google but I can't find any barns to rent.
8th December
Nigel has booked the Christmas meal for the 23rd. Should be fun. Its at the William Caxton in Tenterden. William Caxton was the first printer in Britain. He might have been born in Tenterden. Read more here and here, but I guess what you really want to know is how to get there. Does anyone know where this photo was taken from?
Me and Liam are listening to the Ricky Gervias Podcast at the same time. Geeks.
7th December
I am not usually a big fan of street riding, but this is a really good video to watch anyway. Good music and good riding: Tomorrow We Work
This is actually amazing.
Sittingbourne was fun last night. WE had it to ourselves for a while. Simon and Gaz got lots of pictures so I hope they put them up somewhere.
6th December
There is a good video here. Lots of interesting rollers.
5th December
Liam is funny
The Dutch are racist. In the Netherlands they celebrate Christmas today, and Sinter Klaas has a helper called Zwarte Peiten or Black Pete. If you go there they have a black man who runs through the streets, and they throw flour at him. Here is a picture. I think it's pretty hilarious. The story is here and there.
Also, while we are on Santa, did you know the reason that he wears a red suit? Well read this:
"The 19th century Santa was often shown wearing outfits of different colors: purple, green and blue in addition to red. This slowly faded out so that by the beginning of the 20th century the standard image of Santa Claus was a man in a red suit trimmed with white. The Coca-Cola company has often been cited for cementing the image of Santa with the colors red and white through a series of popular advertisements in the 1940's depicting Saint Nick enjoying their product (Cola-Cola's company colors are red and white). The truth is that by the time the ads came out, Santa (in the public's mind) was already wearing only his modern colors." From unmuseum.org
4th December

3rd December
Christmas Meal
Nigel is very kindly organising a Trail Diggers/NOID co/Scruffian Christmas meal. Please leave a message in the book if you can make the William Caxton (Tenterden) on the 23rd of December so he knows numbers and can book a table. Tom, Tom's girl, Peter, Peter's boy, Paul, Ben from Ashford, Dagger Rich and Max, Paddock Wood, Chris, Mark, Si, Dennis, and Tim. Its in the evening. DO IT.
2nd December
On Friday I got a record player. It is amazing. I have a lot of old records so I am having a lot of fun listening to them. Bob Dylan, Cat Stephens, Carole King, David Bowie, all origianal LPs.
Went for a walk today and saw the amazing balancing house.
Tried growing a mostache. Looks creepy.
I uploaded an old website I found. None of these jumps are there anymore but it might get your stoked on digging. It did me. Oh the link. Both of my trails blogs have been updated. Keep building.
1st December
This looks so fun. Not sure if it would be that hard either. I might even try it but i want to see someone else do it first as you might have to go really fast.
This is so good to watch. Not sure if it's possible on a push bike though. I was trying at sittingbourne but its so hard to push the back out that far. Does anyone know whether you have a certain foot forward on a motorbike or are they level?
Wow
